Not finding the software you need?

Anyone running a business and can't find software to automate a particular task? Or have software that isn't doing what it's suppose to?

I'm wondering what automation problems people are running into these days.

Just dusted off my account on this forum to ask specifically this question. I am running into some issues with businesses I am consulting and we're researching the very same thing.

I have noticed people stalling with their forward momentum because they just don't know what they want.

If it helps, I found people focus on automating things which require absolutely no automation at all. There seems to be an automated fixation with many. The truth is they just don't need it in many circumstances.

What they need is help getting their existing software to work properly.

Are you asking because you're trying to find an un-served niche?
You know one of the beautiful things about the internet is its endless possible uses. What a novel concept, just going directly to a business forum, and asking what small business owners need, so that you can offer it!
I've been trying to find my muse, too, to tell you the truth. But I would have to second MrGamma's notion that right now is a time of extreme uncertainty, when a lot of business owners (and consumers) are feeling insecure, unsure of exactly what it is they want.
Which, of course, means that what they need is certainty, security, and confidence, if you have any way of providing it.
